Since its inception, PFFA has been dedicated to bringing the best of Persian cinema to Australian audiences through a world-class program of premieres and special events. The festival has showcased films by visionary filmmakers alongside emerging talents—while also supporting local storytellers and celebrating Persian cinematic heritage.

We are committed to expanding our program, industry initiatives, and unique festival experiences to build on PFFA’s growing legacy.

However, the challenges of running a festival remain significant. Rising costs in venue hire, travel, and production make it increasingly difficult to keep ticket prices accessible. While we continue to recover from recent years, audience habits have shifted, and many are still finding their way back to in-person events.
