Guy Nattiv
Born in Tel Aviv in 1973, Guy Nattiv graduated from his home city’s Camera Obscura film school, having previously worked in advertising for Publicis Groupe. He made several award-winning short films, including 2018’s racial Skin, a tale of racial hate crime, which won the 2018 Academy Award for best live short. His feature film of the same name was also released in 2018. Golda, his biopic about Golda Meir, is selected for the Festival in 2023, and he is back in 2024 with a new biopic about the Iranian judoka Leila Hosseini.
We acknowledge Australia’s First Nations People as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the land, and pay respect to the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, upon whose Country the festival is based. We honour the storytelling and culture of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across Australia.
