Sahar, an Iranian documentarian, learns about the tragic fate of young Malineh while producing a film. The girl's mother is charged with murder and is to be hanged. Despite peoples’ disapproval, sympathetic Sahar decides to help the girl get the money necessary to buy her mother out of the crime, but the amount required is too big.
