Gazelle Award
The Persian Film Festival Australia celebrate excellence in filmmaking across several prestigious categories. These include the festival’s esteemed Golden Gazelle Award for Best Feature, Best Short Film, and Best Documentary. Each award recognises outstanding contributions to storytelling and cinematic artistry among Persian-speaking filmmakers
The Golden Gazelle Award is inspired by an ancient Persian winged-gazelle, dated back to Achaemenes Empire around 4th century BC, signifying vitality and intuition in artistic practice. The festival jury will look at the films in competition and will present the Golden Gazelle Award for BEST FEATURE FILM, BEST SHORT FILM and BEST DOCUMENTARY.
